Hello, my name is Jason Polo and I am a descendant of Marco Polo. My shop is all out of silk and I need to get some more fast or I will go out of buissiness! I am going to four different places. I am going to: Chang'an, Samarkand, Kashgar, and Istanbul. I am going to take food, water, my two fastest horses, my brother, Logan Polo, and all of my incense to trade with.
Chang'an March 24, 1428
Chang'an is our first stop. It is a quiet place. While Logan and I were walking to the trading place, we got mugged by bandits! They stole one fourth of our incense and most of our food! They gave Logan a black eye and busted lip, and they broke my leg! They stole our horses, too. We were forced to walk to Samarkand.
Samarkand May 25, 1428
Samarkand is a large and busy place in Uzbekistan. We found the trading place and traded eight sticks of incense for more horses. Luckily, we didn't see any bandits, and my leg had healed up perfectly, so we headed off to Kashgar.
Kashgar June 26, 1428
Kashgar is a quaint and peaceful town in China. We went to a park to rest in the shade of a big tree and ate some of our food, and the people were so nice, they even gave us delicious fruit called dragonfruit. We traded fifteen sticks of incense for beautiful leopard skin, zebra skin, white, gray, black, and purple silk. I also got a girl friend named Bao-yu, meaning "precious jade". We got on our horses and headed toward Istanbul.
Istanbul July27, 1428
Istanbul is a nice, small town in Constantinople. We meet many nice people and eat delicious food. It is really hot, since it is the middle of June. We went to a nearby lake to cool off and have some fun. We traded the rest of our incense for some green, orange, and blue silk. That is the end of my journey. Time to go home.
